Drunken fan paces ahead


In 1986 Fans at the Talladega Superspeedway along with the TV audience were treated to an impromptu show of Cops.  An intoxicated fan managed to come across the keys to the official pace car.   Not one to miss this opportunity this fan jumped in and took off around the 2.66 mile track.  Fans at home were treated with the bizarre site of the pace car being pursued by numerous police cars.   The man eventually pulled over and was arrested.
