Tony Stewart moved to 4th place and 67 points away from the lead today with a win at theKansas 400 Kansas Speedway.  With vetran Martin in the points lead, he finished a disappointing 7th place today

Tragic win at NASCAR Mexico

With his car nudged by the driver in second place, Carols Pardo was pushed into the wall and across the finish line at 120 mph in the 97th lap of the Nascar Mexico race Sunday in Pueblo.  Pardo's car disintegrated in the crash. 

Pardo was rushed to hospital and declared dead 45 minutes later.  He was later declared the winner of the Pueblo race. 

He was series championship in 2004 and had 10 career victories.

Disbelieving Martin takes Michigan Lifelock 400

It was a nightmare senerio for Jimmy Johnson and Greg Biffle in the final 2 miles of the Michigan Lifelock 400 as both ran out of gas, literaly, to hand the win to Marc Martin.

At age 50, this is the 3rd win for Martin in the 2009 Sprint cup series.  Looking for a top 5 finish, Martin was as surprised as anyone to take the checkered flag.  These are exciting time...exciting times.

Stewart takes Pocono 500

An excited Tony Stewart takes his first Sprint Cup point win as owner/driver at the Pocono 500 Today.  Second place goes to Carl Edwards.

The crew heads to mountains of Pennsylvania today for the Pocono 500.  Stewart took the pole position with points in qualifying yesterday after yet another rain out.  If there is one common theme in this year's Sprint cup challange folks, it's RAIN!

It's an early race today starting 2pm local time with the weather calling for isolated showers later in the evening.  Let's hope the rain holds off so we can have a good 'ole race to the finish!
